Dear Y Members and Supporters:

Thank you for your support and patience during these past months.   The COVID Crisis has impacted all of us profoundly and we here at the Family YMCA at Tarrytown have missed our members during this shutdown.  We know many of you are anxious to get back to the Y and we are anxious to have you back as well!  We were excited to learn of Governor Cuomo’s authorization to reopen gyms and as soon as we heard the news, we reached out to both county and village officials to finalize plans for reopening.

We are planning on reopening the Y’s Fitness Center on Monday, September 14th provided that we have met all of the parameters.  Our pool will most likely open on Monday, September 21st.   Even though we want to open as soon as possible, we want to do so responsibly with our member and employee’s health and safety as our first priority.

Although we would have loved to announce that we were opening as soon as it was allowed, we had to ensure that our plans and procedures met all of the guidelines and requirements.   We have put careful thought and planning into our reopening. We have followed guidance from the CDC, local health agencies and public officials to update our policies, practices and procedures to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene and make appropriate accommodations for social distancing so that every person who walks through our doors can stay safe and protected while getting back to what matters most: your health, your family and friends, and your community.

Please note that once we reopen there will be new member procedures and requirements in place, so be on the lookout for more information shortly.   In the interim, please do not hesitate to contact me @ if you have any questions or concerns.  On behalf of the entire team at the Family YMCA at Tarrytown – WELCOME BACK!
