VERY FUNNY ROCKIN' HOOD CAMP PERFORMANCES IN PATRIOT'S PARK
Local writer and performance artist David Neilsen and SHMS/WI school Band Teacher Neal Spitzer joined forces the first week, co-directing the Rockin Hood performance about Pirates! Our merry band of Pirates performed a lark written by Neilsen, with musical effects by Spitzer, that left everyone singing and smiling!
In our second week, David Neilsen was joined by the super talented, college music tech major, Zack Krall, co-directing a Harry Potter script written by David Neilsen. Krall's musical input was invaluable, and Neilsen's prologue and epilogue songs were fanciful takeoffs on tv themesongs and popular music from the 60s and 70s. Our audiences brought picnics and good humor to the park to support our young, healthy Y theatre kids!
