The generosity of others is at the core of the Y’s existence as a nonprofit. It is only through the support of our hundreds of thousands of volunteers and public and private donors that we are able to support and give back to the communities we engage.
Y ELC is praised by a parent.
Here's a note from one of our parents after Thursday, November 15, 2018's horror on the highways...
"I wanted to let you know how incredible your staff was tonite [sic] in this
unexpected storm. It took me 3 hours to get to the Y tonite from Hartsdale.
I left our house at 4:15 and arrived just after 7. Susan gave me a hug,
Merfat and Amanda were all smiles and Thomas and Matthew were literally
having a great time. I am so grateful to know that even in stressful times
for your staff the kids really remained everyone’s first priority. Susan was
even handing out snacks as we left to be sure everyone was fed.
I’m praying everyone got home safely (or will eventually get home tonite!)
but please know that we are eternally grateful for the love we receive at
YELC.
Sincerely,
Susan Castro"
