Traditional Y ELC Summer Day Camp - Ages 5-8

Y Camps are designed to provide stimulating fun learning experiences. Y Camp offers a warm and secure environment for children ages 5-8. All campers will participate in the following activities: sports, dance, nature, swimming lessons 3x per week and recreational swim periods, art, and theme-based activities & special events.

Y Dance Intensives

Develop technique and artistry in a fun, nurturing and creative environment during our summer dance intensive programs for ages 5-18, levels beginner to advanced.  Here's the flyer! Y Summer Theatre (Teen and Youth Camps)

Summer teen troupe will perform a musical, directed by Peter Royston. Rehearsals are Monday - Thursday from 1 pm to 5 pm until performance week, starting last week of June through performances last weekend in July.  The fifth week ("hell week") will take place at Sleepy Hollow High School.  $1,750 per actor (Financial Aid is available.  Or, register and pay in full during March, 2018 and receive 10% off the camp fee.)  Actors will have the opportunity to take dance intensive to learn choreography for the show.
 
Summer youth troupe will perform a comedy or drama.  Camp runs from Monday through Friday, 9 am to 12:30 pm, last week in June through performances third weekend in July in Patriot's Park. For actors entering 4th through 8th grade.  $1,000 per actor (Financial Aid is available.  Or, register and pay in full during March, 2017 and receive a 10% discount off the camp fee.) Rockin' Hood Camp

Comedy and Rock 'n' Roll come together in a fun and crazy way.  Students will act, sing and rock out to popular favorites while presenting a new take on a classic story written and directed by David Neilsen, with Musical Direction by Neal Spitzer and/or Zach Krall.  Click here for more information!  Two, One week-long, full day musical theatre programs run first and second weeks of Augut, 9am to 4 pm, with a production each Friday night at 7 pm in Patriot's Park.  For more information or to register, contact Barbara Turk 
 

Y Staff

The Family YMCA at Tarrytown is a New York State registered Day Care program.  This means we adhere to all current state mandated rules and regulations.  Each staff member must be cleared through a reference check, central clearance and fingerprinted by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.  The YMCA also runs all staff through a state-of-the art background check, which checks for all criminal and/or sexual abuse records in the country, state and county.  
 
All Staff must obtain a minimum of fifteen hours of training during each school year.  The YMCA is committed to provide the highest quality of child care for your child.
