Class Descriptions

Get ready for a joyful class full of singing, dancing, and endless smiles! Kindergarteners will move to the music, learn fun songs, and explore creative dance in a playful and supportive environment. This class encourages self-expression, boosts confidence, and helps kids build coordination, all while having a blast with their friends. Every session is packed with music, movement, and lots of happy moments!

Unleash your child's inner artist in this creative art class! Kids will explore colors, shapes, and different art materials while learning to express themselves through painting, drawing, and crafting. This hands-on class encourages imagination, fine motor skills, and a love for creating art. Every masterpiece is a step toward building confidence and having fun in a world full of color!

Little Builders sparks creativity as students construct bridges, planes, boats, and various models. Each session introduces new materials like cardboard, Legos, and up-cycled items, teaching creative construction through design-based thinking. Students engage in exciting challenges: Can your boat hold more weight? How tall can your building reach? Join this hands-on STEAM class to inspire, learn, and unleash your creative potential.

Join us for a hands-on, creative adventure in our PlayDoh Creation Class, designed specifically for 5-year-olds! This engaging session combines fun and learning as children explore the endless possibilities of shaping, molding, and creating with colorful, non-toxic PlayDoh.

Through guided activities and imaginative challenges, kids will develop their fine motor skills, boost their creativity, and work collaboratively with their peers. They’ll make shapes, sculpt themed creations like animals or food, and contribute to a group masterpiece. With plenty of tools and materials provided, this class is the perfect opportunity for young minds to express themselves while having a fun  “PlayDoh” time.

Class Descriptions

Introduce your little ones to the joys of creative movement with this playful and engaging class! Kids will learn movement through stories, games, and imagination. This class helps improve flexibility, balance, and focus, all while having fun. It’s a great way for kids to relax, move, and connect with their bodies in a positive and calming environment!

Introduce your child to the basics of Spanish in a fun and engaging way! In this playful class, kindergarteners will learn simple words and phrases through songs, stories, games, and hands-on activities. They'll explore topics like colors, numbers, animals, and greetings, building a strong foundation in language skills while developing confidence in speaking. Perfect for young learners ready to say "¡Hola!" to a new language!

Rocketry Jr

Welcome to the thrilling world of Rocketry! Join MakeInspires for an immersive journey into the captivating history and awe-inspiring science behind rockets. Through hand-on projects, participants will unravel the principles of propulsion, aerodynamics, and space travel. Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on experiments, young space enthusiasts will construct and launch their rockets, applying newfound knowledge to achieve soaring success. Igniting their curiosity and fostering a deeper appreciation for space exploration, this Rocketry class promises an exhilarating experience that will inspire and lift their aspirations skyward.

2024-2025 REGISTRATION FORM

Attendance Agreement

Your child must attend the class that they are signed up for. Missing classes will result in the loss of their spot and they will be removed from the program.

Children at J.P. meet in the Multipurpose

Pick-Up Time Agreement

Your children must be picked up once their class is over, no exceptions.

J.P. at 4:30 PM at the Multipurpose Doors in back of school

Any child that is picked up LATE will be removed from the program and their spot will be filled from the wait list.

Waitlist Agreement

If there are no current spots available for your child, they will be added to the waitlist. This is on a first come, first served basis.

Once a spot is open, you will receive an email. You must respond in order to confirm the spot.

Voluntary Leave

If you choose to remove your child from the program, you must email Sarah McCarthy at sarahm@ymcatarrytown.org in writing.
