Being healthy means more than simply being physically active. It’s about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind and body. The Y is a place where you can work toward that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, fostering connections with friends...

YMCA Mission
The Family YMCA at Tarrytown is a nonprofit dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We improve the lives of children, adults and families in our community, regardless of their ability to pay. As of March 29. 2021 our operations at 62 Main Street, Tarrytown ceased as we sold our 100+-year-old building. We are continuing to provide much-needed childcare services at our Y Early Learning Center temporary location located at 116 Beekman Avenue in Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591. Our school-age programs have resumed at W.L. Morse Elementary School and Washington Irving School in Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown and at Todd Elementary School in the Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District. We also continue to offer Y Dance and Cheer programs for children.
We are excited to announce that we will be opening up a new Y Early Learning Childcare center at 139 Wildey Street (River Plaza) in winter 2023 - be on the lookout for more information. Our new site will be:
- Bright and Airy
- Steps to the Tarrytown Train Station
- Walkable to Villages of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow
- Offers Ample Parking
Our fitness programming continues on our Virtual Y Platform and we hope to resume evening and weekend classes when we open up our new site at River Plaza. To learn more about the Virtual Y contact Lesa Dalton, Associate Executive Director at lesad@ymcatarrytown.org
social responsibility
The generosity of others is at the core of the Y’s existence as a global nonprofit. It is only through the support of our hundreds of thousands of volunteers and public and private donors that we are able to support and give back to the communities we engage.
